I’m feeling really sad about the exhibition ending as it draws near 🥹. This baby was 18 months in the making and we are so proud of it. But the reality is, it’s not the end, we’ve met so many new people through this project, felt so celebrated and look forward to the journey ahead.
To view our artists work in person, this weekend is your last chance to visit Enriching Spaces at the @nationalwinecentre before we bump out next week.

Artist Spotlight: Stephanie Singh-Highfold
Today we are showcasing the talented Stephanie Singh-Highfold, also known as @nabanunga Three of Stephanie’s captivating work are currently featured in Tili Arts’ exhibition at the @nationalwinecentre of Australia.
Stephanie Singh - Highfold is a proud Ngarrindjeri and Kokotha woman who calls Adelaide home. Stephanie’s art reflects her cultural heritage and personal experiences, blending tradition and contemporary expression seamlessly.
Medicine Leaves: Medicine Leaves is a dreaming story painted by the women in Central Australia”. Women collect medicine leaves, extract the resin, and mix it with kangaroo fat creating a medicinal paste that can be stored for a long time in bush. Painting Medicine Leaves pays respect to the spirit of the medicine plant in the hope that it will regenerate, enabling the people to continue to benefit from its healing properties
My Connection to Country: This piece is a representation of where her family comes from. Generations of her family grew up on Raukkan and still live in Raukkan to this day. The centre community (the centre circles) is Stephanies depiction of Raukkan which is situated on the south-eastern shore of Lake Alexandrina. The white dots coming out of, and leading back, to the centre circles represent the strong connection Stephanie and her family have with their Country and the journeys to and from the place which they call home. The different sizes of the dots depicting the journey represent different generations.
Journey: “This painting is a representation of Journey on Country throughout South Australia. The trail in the middle represents the journey. The circles surrounding the trail are the communities around South Australia. The two figures standing side by side are the community leaders. The surrounding dot work is the land”.
Stephanie’s works have been a crowd favourite amongst viewers!!! Her dot work is slightly textured and so precise 😍 Beautiful. Her works are on show until July 28th.

Artist Spotlight: Tyler Barker
We are thrilled to highlight the delightful @tylerbarkerrr ! Tyler’s stunning photography, titled Journey, is currently featured in Tili Arts’ exhibition at the @nationalwinecentre of Australia.
Tyler Barker is a Boonwerung, Taungurong, Yorta Yorta, Mutti Mutti and Palawa man currently living on Peramangk Country. He is a self-taught photographer who is passionate about nature and wildlife photography. Tyler is a craftsman at using natural light. Through his lens, everyday moments are transformed into extraordinary moments, inviting viewers to embark on their own odysseys.
Journey: Separate moments, separate photos, but together they demonstrate the freedom that birds have, and also the obstacles that can arise when other birds are near.
The first frame shows two birds, flying into the late afternoon light, happy and enjoying themselves together. With the second frame showing two birds, fighting off a much larger bird, trying to overcome this obstacle. Even though much smaller, the smaller birds worked together to overcome the obstacle.
“These frames to me represent life, the good times, and the bad, but also reminding myself that almost anything can be overcome with the help of others, and that anything good, can be made better with company”.
We invite you to experience the captivating photography of Tyler Barker at the National Wine Centre of Australia. This is Tyler’s first exhibition, and he is our only photographer, making it a privilege to showcase his work. Tyler’s photography not only captures stunning visuals but also tells powerful stories, inspiring viewers to see the world through a new lens.

Go large, or go home 🦅
Getting the scale right when selecting art is crucial. As a rule of thumb, in smaller rooms, choose a single large piece of art to fill 50-70% of the wall. This will make the space feel larger. Large art creates a focal point, adds impact, and enhances the overall ambiance. Introducing new art is an easy way to refresh and enliven any space.

This morning I took time out with my sister to attend a weaving workshop with Aunty Janice Rigney from Southern Elders Weaving Group. It was humbling to learn a new skill and to listen to Aunty Janice’s stories while being educated about techniques that have been used for thousands of years.
