The Story: Stephanie Singh – Highfold is a proud Ngarrindjeri and Kokotha woman who calls Adelaide home. This piece is a representation of where her family comes from. Generations of her family grew up on Raukkan and still live in Raukkan to this day. The centre community (the centre circles) is Stephanies depiction of Raukkan which is situated on the south-eastern shore of Lake Alexandrina. The white dots coming out of, and leading back, to the centre circles represent the strong connection Stephanie and her family have with their Country and the journeys to and from the place which they call home. The different sizes of the dots depicting the journey represent different generations.
