The Story: ‘The Coorong (Kurrangk) is my country. This painting depicts the sand dunes (natunyuru) that run along the coastline of the Kurrangk. This beautiful country is my spiritual connection to my Nan, my ancestors and my culture. It holds the stories of the past and the struggles of life on the mission. It also holds the spirit of my people, keeping the Ngarrindjeri culture strong.’
