The Story: This painting is about connection to nature and spirit. It is about the seeds carried across Country by the winds, birds, and rains spreading growth in a continuing cycle of life. The seeds travelling across land by winds and water. Seed Dreaming and Water Dreaming are connected stories. The management of water, cultivation of crops and nursing of wild seeds is part of knowledge passed from father to son and mother to daughter for thousands of years. With no written language until recently, lessons are taught by storytelling, drawings, songs and ceremonies. The cultivation and appreciation of seeds, the beginning if the life cycle nurtured by water is part of the Jangala families Dreaming (Tjukurrpa) Stories.
